"Working with Co-Labb is genuinely easy — and I don't say that lightly. Our team is lean, our bandwidth is limited, and we don't have time to manage agencies. What stood out with Co-Labb is the attitude: they come in ready to do the work, they take feedback well, and they don't treat revision rounds as a cost to be minimised. There's a genuine commitment to getting it right, not just getting it done and moving to the next invoice. That's rare, and it matters."
Sara Mackey, VP Sales & Marketing, Hudson Lab Automation
The Challenge
Hudson had a lean marketing team and a pipeline of product launches that needed accelerating. Content was a bottleneck. The RapidPick product pages needed a complete overhaul from product-centric copy that wasn't converting. Simultaneously, Hudson was preparing to launch the Rapid pH Plus: a redesigned platform that needed to land not as a pH meter but as a software-driven workflow solution for formulation and downstream process development scientists in biologics. Both projects required writers who understood the science and the sell.
"Copywriting is a bottleneck when you have a lean team. We needed additional bandwidth to accelerate content generation for demand gen."
Sara Mackey, VP Sales & Marketing, Hudson Lab Automation
The Solution
Co-Labb was introduced to Sara Mackey via a recommendation from Hudson's CEO, Werner Maas, and onboarded in late 2025.
The first project was the RapidPick web presence. Co-Labb conducted a competitive analysis, rebuilt the product family landing page and individual product pages from the ground up, and restructured the content around user outcomes and buyer personas across academic, biopharma, and CRO audiences.
That engagement expanded into a monthly retainer. Over the following months, Co-Labb delivered the complete Rapid pH Plus launch content suite: a fully updated technical user manual developed with Hudson's internal SMEs; a product landing page repositioning the system as a workflow platform; a dedicated application page for formulation and downstream processing workflows; a lead nurture email sequence; and a LinkedIn post series for the launch.
The engagement culminated in a co-authored, publicly published application note; The Critical Role of pH in Biopharmaceutical Formulation and Processing, authored by Dan Sheridan, PhD (Co-Labb) and Andrew Witschi, CTO (Hudson Lab Automation). The piece covers pH as a critical quality attribute and process parameter across mRNA-LNPs, mAbs, gene therapies, and injectable formulations, and is now live on Hudson's website.
"The goal was to build up core product content that could then pivot to externally facing materials. Co-Labb made that possible - the application note is something we're looking forward to getting out there."
Sara Mackey, VP Sales & Marketing, Hudson Lab Automation
The Results
The RapidPick redevelopment gave Hudson a differentiated, outcome-led web presence for their flagship product family. The Rapid pH Plus launch delivered a full channel-ready content suite on a tight timeline. The co-authored application note added a further layer — a bylined, scientifically rigorous piece that builds credibility with a technical buyer audience.
"Working with Co-Labb is easy — great attitudes, receptive to feedback, no issues with how many revisions. Just a genuine commitment to get it right."

Message from the Co-Labb Team

"Hudson are exactly the kind of client Co-Labb is built for - strong instrumentation, a lean team, and a need to move fast without compromising on quality. Co-authoring the Rapid pH Plus application note with Hudson's CTO reflects the level at which our team genuinely contributes. We're not just writing about the science, in many cases, we're part of it."

Why Hudson Chose Co-Labb
Referred by Hudson's CEO, Co-Labb was brought in for the same reason clients stay: a PhD-level team that produces technically accurate first drafts without extensive hand-holding, works directly with SMEs, and iterates without friction. For a lean marketing operation with ambitious launch targets, that combination is the difference between content that ships and content that stalls.
