Cassie is a multi-and interdisciplinary researcher, bringing a broad knowledge base to Co-Labb. She completed a BSc in Biochemistry, including a year-long placement in cancer research, before undertaking an MScR in cyanobacterial genetics. She went on to earn a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Edinburgh, investigating the limits of bacterial life in ammonia. This expertise led to several unique opportunities, including time as a visiting researcher at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
